Who handles the request
/init publishes init.news within the Metanomicon movement. Email collection is not yet enabled. A verified publisher contact for privacy questions, access, deletion, and withdrawal will be published here before collection opens. Do not submit personal information while the form is unavailable.
What the optional form stores
When collection is available and you consent, the form records your email address, the selected resource, this site's referring page path, the request time, and the consent wording and version. Addresses are not verified and are not enrolled in a newsletter. The download appears here; no email is sent.
The backend is designed to write to private Vercel Blob storage in Frankfurt. If private storage is unavailable, the form does not accept an email or claim a successful request. A successful response is issued only after the record is stored.
Purpose and consent
The record supports your requested download and later access or deletion questions. Consent is requested separately from reading articles. Withdrawing it does not change the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. This resource request gives no permission for marketing, sale of addresses, or outreach.
Storage and access
Records are accessible to authorized operators through the hosting account, not public pages. They are kept while the resource request remains active, until deletion is requested; no automatic retention deadline is claimed. Vercel processes hosting and storage data under its service terms. Hosting request logs may include network information even though the form record does not store an IP address or user agent.
A small amount of browser state
The motion preference is stored locally in your browser. A successful resource request sets a signed, essential download cookie for up to 24 hours; it contains a resource identifier, not your email. It is not an advertising cookie. Downloaded workbooks work locally, and their entries are not sent back to this site.
Your choices
Read every article without an email. Collection will remain disabled until a verified private contact route is available for access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal requests. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including a complaint to your data protection authority.
